Stannah are offering a Process Engineer position on a Trainee basis within the Order Fulfilment Team based in Andover. This is a new vacancy which someone can grow and develop in the role. It's an opportunity for the successful candidate to undergo training within various departments across the Order Fulfilment Area. You will be reviewing and improving processes within Order Fulfilment, working within the operations team, whilst completing relevant qualifications/training in Process Engineering. The successful candidate will ideally have work experience in a Manufacturing background or similar where you have had to understand and adhere to processes, whilst always thinking of ways to improve them, whilst this is not essential it will give the successful candidate an advantage in the role.


You will gain a nationally recognised qualification in Operations and Quality Improvement, development of Lean to underpin activities, bespoke learning package of tools and techniques and mentoring from a senior engineer. The successful individual will receive a combination of work and college based training and work as a member of one the Manufacturing / Process Engineering team in Order Fulfilment.


To be considered for this opportunity the successful applicant must have 5 A-C grades at GCSE including English and Maths and also be computer literate. The applicant should have a keen interest in Process Engineering and be motivated to achieve results to a level above and beyond what is expected

Skills to be acquired

  • Work towards apprenticeship education level gaining experience within a fulfilment environment
  • Strong technical skills within Engineering and Order Fulfilment process – Use & knowledge
  • Improved knowledge of continuous improvement tools (PDCA – Plan do Check Act), including problem solving, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), 5S, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), reliability, standardisation,
  • Gain knowledge of quality improvement tools, FMEA (Failure Mode & Effects Analysis), Control Plans, DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, control) cause and effect, 5y
  • Strong analytical, IT and communication skills, with a strong customer focus
