We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic trainee to join our UK sales team. We are interested in speaking to ambitious candidates who have a desire to learn and to further their career within a professional sales environment. Working from home, you will begin your development as a Sales Trainee to become a competent, successful Stannah Stairlift Sales Consultant. The initial training will cover all technical aspects of Stannah stairlift products and their application within the sales environment. On the successful completion of the training period, you will provide a supporting sales and surveying function to the existing sales team. This will continue until your own sales territory becomes available at which time there is an absolute requirement for flexibility to be able to relocate to work within your own geographical sales area for which you would be expected to convert market opportunities into sales so as to meet your sales targets.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Successful completion of initial 6 month task based training plan
  • Attend regular internal training at Stannah Head Office, Andover
  • Attend and contribute to regular field based Stannah sales and survey training
  • To contribute towards forecast sales
  • To assist with the sales and survey requirements of the existing sales team
  • To become aware of competitor products and activities
  • To keep abreast of competitor sales strategies and tactics, devising techniques and methods to promote Stannah
  • Reporting to National Local Authority Sales Manager
  • To maintain at all times the highest standards of professionalism, honesty, integrity and safety in keeping with the Stannah culture

Person Specification:

  • Previous work in a sales environment

  • GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths or equivalent
  • PC Literate - Word, Excel etc


Other requirements:

  • A full driving license
  • Able to travel independently to Stannah and Customer Sites with overnight stay when required
