Overview

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Purchasing Coordinator to join our busy team at Stannah Stairlifts Ltd based in Andover

 

Reporting directly to the Purchasing Manager, you will be expected to manage supplier relationships to realise best overall value whilst purchasing to MRP requirements

 

You will need a positive, enthusiastic approach and be highly motivated to meet the demands of this job.

 

An engineering background is desirable, as is knowledge of manufacturing processes. Liaising closely with Engineering Design and Manufacturing will be an essential ingredient for your success. As a team player, you will flourish in our environment of Continuous Improvement. Ideally, you will be educated to degree standard or equivalent, with a CIPS qualification and excellent IT skills giving you a distinct advantage.

 

Please note that in order to liaise with our suppliers, this role involves UK travel. A valid driving licence and a flexible attitude are therefore essential.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities: 

  • Liaising with suppliers to ensure on time, in full deliveries
  • Timely implementation of purchase orders
  • Fully supporting production staff to achieve production targets
  • Providing support to Supplier Account Managers 
  • Collating and analysing statistical data
  • Supporting the implementation of contractual agreements with suppliers
  • Delivering cost savings through negotiation with suppliers
  • Expediting and reconciling invoices and credit notes
  • Managing the ISIR (Initial Sample Inspection Report) process with suppliers
  • Managing containment of quality issues
  • Identifying and evaluating supply chain risk
  • Identifying continuous improvement opportunities in product and process
