Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a Stairlift Engineer to join our team at the Mansfield branch.

Working throughout the Lincolnshire and East Nottinghamshire area, the successful candidate will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of all types of Stairlifts and hoists.

Ideal candidates will be qualified to NVQ level 2 in Stairlift Engineering and have a comprehensive engineering background supported by a sound knowledge of Stairlifts of various manufacture. 

It is essential that you can project the friendly, professional image by which we are known; therefore excellent communication skills and a smart appearance are extremely important.  A valid driving licence will always be essential to the role.

Responsibilities

  • You will work throughout working throughout Branch area.
  • Attend maintenance and call out visits on stairlifts, Wheelchair Lifts and Hoists
  • Carry out minor repair work on all products mentioned
  • Participate in our 24 hr call out rota, currently one week in four
  • You will be expected to manage your own service route with the minimum supervision
  • Carry out responsibilities in a safe and proper manner both for self and for the well-being of others.
  • Ensure a high standard of quality, delivery of service, and customer care is maintained.
  • Cooperate in all matters of health, safety & environment and productive working.

 

Person Specification

 

  • Ideally be qualified to a minimum NVQ level 2
  • Preferably have experience in the maintenance/call out on all types and manufactures equipment.
  • Experience of Electrical Engineering in Stairlifts would be desirable
  • 2+ years experience in Electrical Engineering in the Domestic Appliance market would be considered
  • Some computer knowledge is an advantage as you will be required to use the Remote Engineering System
  • Good customer service skills are essential
  • Good communication skills
  • Comfortable working on their own, managing their own time
  • Comfortable driving in between jobs
  • Must have a full driving license
