  • Overview

    We have an opportunity for an experienced Administrator to join us on our Network Rail Department based in Dartford.  

     

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the collation of data from our UK branch network, generation of key reports using excel spreadsheets and interpreting issues to enable effective operations to meet specific customer targets.  You will have the ability to develop strong business relationships with both internal and external customers and be comfortable working to tight deadlines.  

     

    Ideal candidates will be team-players, self-motivated and enthusiastic and have a proven track record within a busy administration role.  Experience in a Service industry would be a distinct advantage along with strong IT skills

    Responsibilities

    MAIN DUTIES

    • Manage, organise and update relevant data using database applications and excel spreadsheets.
    • Ensure key reports are produced to timescales using excel spreadsheets.
    • Progressing deadlines with Stannah branches to meet customer targets.
    • Communicate and provide information by relevant methods internally and externally to assist and enable organisational operations and effective service to the customer, colleagues and contractors.
    • Interpret instructions and issues arising and then implement actions according to administrative policies and procedures.
    • Research and investigate information to enable strategic decision-making by others.
    • Engage in continuous improvement activities.
    • Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to health and safety and quality management.
    • Adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility.
    • Any other administrative tasks required by the team.

    Person Specification:

    • Good IT skills - Word, Excel, Microsoft
    • Ability to work to tight deadlines
    • Experience of working in a  busy office environment
    • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Team oriented
    • Ability to work on own initiative
    • Strict attention to detail
