  • Overview

    We are looking to recruit 4 Welder/ Fabricator to join our Stairlifts Team team based in Newburn.  You will work with highly skilled people who are proactive, passionate, and results driven – and we are looking for a like-minded people to join the team.  If you have experience in welding then this is the role for you.

     

    We are looking for Welders to work either days or nights, nights are paid at an enhanced salary of 33%.

    Responsibilities

    Welder

    • Fabricate and weld company product to the required specification
    • Reading and interpret product drawings

    Masting

    • Assemble and erect company product
    • Reading and interpret product drawings
    • Ensure rail meets the required specification
    • Ability to repair to required standards

    Tube Bending

    • Operate company tube bending machine to SSW
    • Reading and interpret product drawings
    • Carry out specified quality checks
    • Ensure product is bent to meet customer delivery dates

     

    General Description

    • Delivery of product to down stream customer that meets QCD requirements and does so within established safety perimeters and within a “right first time” ethic
    • Utilise cross skilling to ensure operational flexibility to respond to changing business needs/ new opportunities.
    • Work to current “Best Practice”
    • Work flexibly within a team environment to ensure the required QCD deliverables are achieved

     

    Production Times & Improvements 

    • Work to demonstrated timings and seek to improve
    • Achieve required quality standards

    Working hours are 07:15 - 15:45 Mon to Thur and 7:15 - 12:00 on a Friday

    Nights are 21:15 - 07:00 Monday to Thursday
