HR Advisor (Andover) - Full Time

Would you like to join a fun, dynamic team?

An opportunity has arisen for an HR Advisor to join our HR team at Stannah, based in Andover.

    About us:

An independent family business since 1867, the Stannah Group is a global success story.  150 years and five generations on since Joseph Stannah started his business in London Docks the group continues to go from strength to strength with lifting expertise at its core.

Today, we are a diverse group making life easier for people in all aspects of daily life - a commuter getting from a platform to the concourse in a train station, a cafe owner sending hot food from a basement kitchen to the dining area, a warehouse shifting goods from the storeroom to the shop floor or individuals gliding effortlessly up and down their stairs at home.

    The role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the heart of a family run business within the Stannah Group.

As the HR Advisor, you will support the HR Business Partner in providing a fully comprehensive and integrated HR Service to appointed client groups within the Stannah Group, supporting managers to acheive their business objectives through effective use of people resources.

You will work closely with all Management across the business, assisting line managers to understand and implement company policies and procedures.  You will assist with all employee relations cases including, but not limited to, managing investigations, disciplinary and grievances, absence management and working closely with the Occupational Health Advisor and Learning and Development Manager.

The HR Advisor will establish and maintain influential relationships with relevant stakeholders within the Group, ensuring an excellent quality and coverage of HR support at all times.  The role holder will provide HR support for Group wide projects in agreement with the HR Business Partner and Head of HR to ensure delivery of a pro-active HR service to the designated business areas.

    About you:

The successful candidate must have a proven track record in a HR generalist role and experience of working as an HR Advisor in a fast paced multi-site environment is essential.   Knowledge of a manufacturing or engineering environment would be desirable. Excellent attention to detail and an ability to work flexibly and autonomously is essential, along with an ability to plan, prioritise and organise a demanding workload.

You will be CIPD qualified or working towards Level 5 or equivalent, have a good working knowledge of employment law, change management (including TUPE transfers) and a proven track record of resolving employment related issues.

You must hold a full driving licence to be able to travel across the UK to support and lead disciplinaries and be able to stay overnight where necessary to support the business.

    What’s in it for you?

    • Competitive Salary
    • 25 Days Annual Holiday plus 8 Public Bank Holidays
    • Pension
    • Simply Health Benefit
    • Cycle2Work Scheme
