  • Overview

    We have a fantastic opportunity for a Technical Support Engineer to join our Microlifts Division supporting a Nationwide team of Microlift Installation Engineers and suppliers. We are looking for Engineers who hold a NVQ within their profession, and have experience of working within the lift industry. We are looking for individuals who are able to interpret electrical diagrams and technical drawings etc, enabling you to use your knowledge and experience to complete technical assessments and on site audits; determining any faults to provide resolution.

     

    As a Technical Engineer, you will possess strong interpersonal skills and will be able to interact across all levels of the organisation. The role will involve liaising effectively with our Engineers and suppliers to effectively provide a friendly and professional service to our customers. 

     

     Whilst the role is predominantly office based in Andover the role will require occasional site attendance which will include travel and overnight stays, therefore a driving license is also essential for this role. Working hours are 8:30 – 17:15 Monday to Friday with a 13:00 finish on a Friday (1 in 4 Fridays finishing at 15:45).

    Responsibilities

    • Providing Technical support to internal and external customers
    • Identify any product trends and areas for improvement.
    • Provide product training
    • Liaise with suppliers on product non-conformances
    • Reporting and data analysis
    • Maintain a complete technical (mechanical and electrical) understanding of our product range.

    Skills and Experience

    • Experience working in the Lift industry is desirable
    • Experience of mechanical and electrical installations
    • Strong understanding, knowledge and experience of electrical circuits, lift control systems and the components within the circuits
    • Experience with fault finding and the ability to use a range of electrical multi-meters and test equipment
    • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams
    • Experience of working within stringent H&S guidelines
    • Capable of interpreting and understanding engineering drawings

    Qualifications

    • NVQ Level 2 in Lift Engineering (desirable)
